Book of the month
I always loved to read. It was my thing growing up. I think that book's have a way of transforming your life. There's always that one book that changes the way that we perceive the world.
Currently it's Upile Chasala's soft magic. The Malawian storytellor tackles issues of self care, family dynamics,and relationships through the perspective of a young back woman.Two of my favourite quotes in the book are:
"All the lovely women in your blood are trying to teach you soft magic. Please pay attention to them."
"I am dripping melanin and honey. I am black without apology."
I think these are sentiments that young women especially should adopt from a young age. You can purchase, Upile's book on Amazon.
